The Justrite DynaLoc Type 2 Explosive Magazine Storage Cap Box, Red – Model EL486, also called a detonator box, is engineered for the secure, short-term transport and storage of explosive materials, specifically designed to accommodate electric blasting caps and similar components. Constructed with hand-welded 12 gauge steel and featuring a non-sparking 1/2″ plywood interior lining, it effectively minimizes the risk of accidental ignition. This box is built with durability and safety in mind, meeting the ATF Type 2 compliance standards for explosive material storage.

Welded side handles make it easy to transport, while a top opening lid facilitates full access to stored materials without compromising security. Enhanced security features include a secure locking hasp with a security hood to deter theft and unauthorized access, alongside welded hinges and hasps that prevent tampering when locked.

The exterior and interior surfaces are protected with a high-performance coating system, comprising a modified phenolic alkyd resin base coat and an acrylic alkyd enamel topcoat. This finish ensures chemical resistance inside and offers protection against abrasion, corrosion, and UV damage externally.
