They are utilized in gravity-driven waste removal systems and are meant for non-pressure situations where temperatures do not go beyond 140F. The materials used for ABS are lightweight and simple to install. No specialized tools are needed for cutting, and installation is accomplished through solvent cementing (primer is not necessary).
