SkudoBoard is a heavy duty, synthetic, rigid board that provides superior protection under forklift and general construction traffic. Use wherever you would protect your surfaces with Masonite or plywood. Ideal for use under workstations pipe cutting, finish carpentry, painting.

The textured surface of SkudoBoard is fire retardant, water resistant and resists curling and warping reducing safety hazards on your jobsite. The high compression strength protects from dropping objects and spreads the load under forklifts, keeping your floors safe. It can also be used for vertical protection for surfaces like walls, balconies, and windows.

Assessment & Suitability

SkudoBoard should not be used on unprepared, uneven ground.

SkudoBoard should not be used on freshly placed concrete unless that concrete will be later covered with another finishing product, such as tile, carpet, LVT, etc. Using SkudoBoard on uncured concrete can lead to curing lines where the boards are joined.

How to Apply

SkudoBoard 4×8

Before installing any surface protection system, make sure that the surface to be protected is dust and debris free.

Installing SkudoBoard is a simple and quick process. Like any other floor covering installation, it is best practice to take some time before installation to figure out the most efficient layout, minimizing small cut infills. SkudoBoard 4×8 can be installed stack bond or running bond (offset). Skudo recommends leaving an expansion gap of 1/16th as boards can expand in extremely hot conditions. Tape the seams using a minimum 3 wide trafficable tape suitable for external and internal use; for larger projects, Skudo recommends a walk-behind tape dispenser be used.

SkudoBoard Interlock

Prepare the surface as above. SkudoBoard interlock is locked into place by pressing down the interlocking tabs, which will stay in place without tape when exposed to foot and small cart traffic. Taping the tabs will offer better stability where heavier traffic is expected.
